Cruising the South Pacific Islands in winter is a wonderful experience and a great get away from the cold weather! A seven night cruise on board the Pacific Dawn was both relaxing and exciting with port stops at New Caledonia’s Noumea and Lifou as well as a stop at Port Villa in Vanuatu.

On board the Pacific Dawn there is something for everyone from the fabulous night time entertainment shows and comedians to relaxing during the day at the spa having a treatment. Bingo features big with passengers and draws the crowds offering jackpots to the winners that are not to be sneezed at! Kids clubs have daily activities that will keep your kids entertained and wanting more each day. There are scheduled seminars for better fitness and health, wine tasting, culinary delights and tours of the kitchen or you can simply sit back in the café and have a drink while watching the world go by.

On deck twelve you can take a dip in the pool or the kids can play at the water park. You can sit back and watch sporting events on the big screen or at night enjoy the featured movie that is playing while laying on the deck chairs. For the more adventurous you can have fun on the two waterslides or get the adrenaline going on the zip line high above everyone from the back of the ship to the front.

Eating on board the Pacific Dawn was a culinary delight with so many options available each day. You could eat at the Waterfront Restaurant or dine out at Salt Grill by Luke Mangan for a’lacarte dining or head to the “Pantry” for a casual dining experience and please your taste buds with Seafood, Italian, Indian, Mexican, The Fat Cow carvery, Asian food or the abundant selections from the desert bar!

On the days the ship pulls in to ports you have an array of excursions that you can go on from snorkeling at Jinek Bay or explore the Secret Groto at Lifou. At Port Villa you can visit the Blue Groto and Turtle Bay to take a dip or feed the turtles or if your more inclined to shop you can enjoy the Duty Free Shopping and grab a bargain.

Cruising the Pacific Islands with P&O was a wonderful experience that had loads to offer all passengers regardless of age or ability. You could be as active or relaxed as you wanted with plenty on board to offer!
